Description of Case: Plaintiff, a 17-year-old high school senior, was involved in a motor vehicle collision on November 1, 1999 when a vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way and collided with the vehicle occupied by the Plaintiff as a driver’s side rear passenger.

The Plaintiff sustained multiple injuries including a left humerus fracture, radial nerve injury, bilateral mandible fractures as well as a 2 cm. chin laceration, a 1 cm. laceration of his upper lip, laceration of the left lower chest wall, and multiple dental injuries. Plaintiff required Open Reduction and Internal fixation of his left arm fracture and repair of the radial nerve. Plaintiff made good but incomplete recovery from the injuries and will have residual limitations in the use of his non-dominant arm in the future.
